Toyota wants your imagination to be your limit, not your range. Of course, this is possible with the all-new 2017 Toyota Prius Prime. If you weren't tuned into the New York International Auto Show Toyota took the wraps off the all-new PHEV at the highly anticipated event last week. As such, we felt inspired to introduce you to the Prius Prime via our blog and detail everything we know thus far.

Aside from its revamped design -- depicted in the image above -- the Prius Prime packs a significantly larger 8.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack than the previous-generation. The battery upgrade will enable the Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain to remain in EV mode more frequently, and pending EPA certification, is projected to get 22 miles of electric range. If the battery loses its charge, it will shift back into hybrid mode, effortlessly. That is the best part about a PHEV after-all.

Key features of the all-new PHEV include a four-seat layout, heated front seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat backs, QI wireless charging and two 4.2-inch TFT displays. For those interested in the all-new Prius Prime, you will have to wait until fall 2016. In the meantime you can call us with any questions. We can be reached at 888-708-6094.
