2023 4Runner Exterior Features
The 2023 4Runner is designed to be smooth in the city, but completely at home in the country. The 4Runner is built on a suspension made up of an independent double-wishbone in the front, and a 4-link and coil-spring setup in the rear. This frame-on-body construction combined with Toyota engineering innovation keeps this icon at the front of the pack. 2023 Toyota 4Runner Interior Features
Crushing rough roads doesn’t mean crushing your legs with the 4Runner’s spacious and comfortable interior. If you’re wanting to bring along the entire party, you’ll be able to accommodate up to seven passengers with the available third-row seating on SR5 and Limited grades. The third-row seats also have a 50/50 split capability to make room for cargo, but if you need even more space for storage, you can make room for everything you need by folding one or all three of the Flat-Folding Second Row Seats to accommodate up to 88.8 cubic feet of cargo.
Safety Features
New for 2023, the entire lineup now includes standard upgraded LED headlights and a rear-occupancy alert letting you know if a child or pet has been left unattended. In the event of an accident, eight standard airbags protect passengers: a driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger TAP (Thorax, Abdomen, Pelvis) front seat-mounted side airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags and all-row (third-row airbags on models so equipped) Roll-sensing Side Curtain Airbags (RSCA). Airbag systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems and are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating airbag, always wear seatbelts and sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible.
