How to check and air to your tires in Rockwall
Most car owners know that they have to monitor the tire pressure in their cars, and sometimes add or remove air. But how do you do this? Let Toyota of Rockwall help you out!
- Find out your tires’ optimal air pressure. This will be in your owner’s manual, on the sidewall of the tire, or posted on the inside of the driver’s door. It’s usually around 35 psi.
- Get a tire pressure gauge. Whether you get an analog or digital gauge, make sure you put it onto the valve so that no air escapes.
- Air or remove air as you need. If you need more pressure, you will need an electric air compressor, usually at a gas station. Portable ones are being sold now for under $100! If you need to remove air, simply press the small button on the inside of the tire’s valve.
- Double-check your air pressure. Sometimes mistakes happen, and this is a good time to make sure you replaced the valve stems caps.
